The Project
In 2010, the University of Urbino began a project to internationalize its course offerings by promoting courses held in languages other than Italian, the objectives of the project being:
- to increase the level of foreign language competence of students at the University of Urbino
- to attract foreign students and researchers
- to promote the mobility of students and researchers within an international framework
Types of courses offered:
- Course entirely taught in a foreign language: this course is entirely taught in a foreign language and the final exam can be taken in the foreign language.
- Course partially taught in a foreign language: this course is taught partially in Italian and partially in a foreign language. Study materials can be provided in the foreign language and the final exam can be taken in the foreign language.
- Course with optional materials in a foreign language: this course is entirely taught in Italian. Study materials can be provided in the foreign language and the final exam can be taken in the foreign language.
- Course with online activities entirely in a foreign language: for this course offered in face-to-face/online mixed mode, online teaching is entirely in a foreign language and the final exam can be taken in the foreign language.
Counseling services for foreign language teaching (Content and Language Integrated Learning) are currently supported by the University's Integrated Learning Services and E-Learning Center (CISDEL)
