In Urbino the ERDIS manages three canteens serving traditional meals (comprising a first course, a second course, a vegetable side dish, bread and fruit) with self-service and take-away service:
Duca Canteen
Located in the old town centre, at Via Budassi 3 - Phone +39 0722 377661) this is the oldest restaurant in Urbino, although recently restructured and given new furnishings.
It has two self-service lines for serving traditional meals on the lower floor and a self-service line for “Cibus” on the upper floor, with distribution of a quick meal (pasta/meat/fish with vegetable side-dish or sandwich/”crescia” filled with vegetables, and fruit).
Open Monday to Friday, October to June, from 12.00 to 2.00 p.m. (A take away service is available for dinner from 12.00 to 5 p.m.).
Tridente Canteen
In the area near the Colle dei Cappuccini halls of residence, at Via Giancarlo De Carlo 7 - Phone +39 0722 302651 is the largest canteen in Urbino, although it is split into sections giving it a welcoming feel.
Two self-service lines operate – one for a traditional meal and one for “Cibus”.
Open every day, from 12.00 to 2.00p.m. and from 7.00 to 9.00 p.m.
Campus Canteen
Located near the Scientific Campus, at Via Ca’ le Suore 2 - Phone +39 0722 37621, Crocicchia Locality, this is used mainly by students and teachers who attend this campus.
In Fano:
ERDIS signed an agreement with the Restaurant "Il bello e la bestia" in Piazza A. Costa, 10/11 - FanoThis is open for lunch and dinner every day except Sunday and Monday - Phone +39 0721 828021.
To take advantage of services in Fano having special arrangements, students must obtain meal vouchers.
Scholarships include one or two free meals per day. All students who do not have scholarships pay a fixed price for meals; access to the services is allowed only with ERDIS magnetic card, valid for any payment for services supplied by ERDIS, to be requested from ERDIS Ufficio gestione Provvidenze per studenti in Via Veneto, 45 Phone +39 0722 350709 and top it up at one of the banknote machines located in every canteen in Urbino.
Tariffs
Tariffs vary according to those who use the canteen service and the type of meal required.
For example, a complete meal is free of charge for scholarship recipients, it costs € 5.50 for students who pay the regional tax on the right to education and €.9,00 for university teachers. On the other hand, a quick meal is again free for scholarship recipients, it costs € 3,00 (first course, side dish, fruits), € 3,30 (second course, side dish, fruits), € 3,30 takeaway meal (crescia/sandwich, piadina, side dish, fruits) for students who pay the above tax and € 6.00 for teachers.
A 10 meal package is available for teachers. Detailed info can be asked directly to the canteen cashier. (Consult the tariffs in Section 2 of the canteen service Regulations)
Bar and Breakfast Service
Bar Service
A bar service operates at the Tridente Hall of Residence, open Monday to Saturday from 8.45 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. A bar service operates at the Scientific Campus.
Breakfast Service
Internazionale Hall of Residence and Il Colle Hall of Residence – a breakfast service will be available at the guest quarters every day from 7.30 to 9.30 am.
