The need for intelligence evaluation in artificial intelligent systems

The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) systems presents a range of challenges related to their interaction with and acceptance by humans. As AI systems become increasingly integrated into human practices, often in ways that are not entirely transparent to users or those who encounter them, understanding these systems requires not only grasping their technical aspects but also examining the nature of their intelligence. How intelligent can an AI system be, and how reliably can its intelligence be assessed? Addressing this question involves exploring various methodologies for evaluating AI intelligence, a topic that has regained prominence in the past decade. In this seminar, I will present an approach to AI system evaluation through the lens of intelligence, drawing on the diverse and evolving philosophical and philosophical-scientific discourse on AI.
