Learning Objectives

The main aim of course is acquisition of advanced skills to observation and critical analysis of legal phenomenon. These skills can be gained by tackling the big issues on the original root of human and societal law.

The main educational aims are: 1) understanding the complex dimension of Otherness, as the first component of social bond; 2) understanding the original relationship between law and social bond.

On this basis, further objective will be the acquisition by students of the ability to discuss on the juridicité taking into account the concepts of limen and measure.

Program

In the course of Philosophy of Law II we intend to observe how the law assumes a central role in the context of human relationships, in order to make them stable and peaceful. It is to understand how the law is, from the outset of Western society, the privileged place of construction and 'maintenance' of social bond, the place where roles are structured, functions defined and the aims of people fixed.

An ample space will be devoted specifically to the analysis of Otherness.

A specific program will affect students who attend lessons, which will be introduced to the field of research known as Law and Humanities.
