Learning Objectives
The primary objectives of this teaching course are to help students make better links between sports and pharmacology knowledge, and make applications based on this knowledge in the field of athletic training and sport competitions; improve their consciousness about the risks of doping as well as their knowledge on the specific doping agents; make better and scientifically grounded links between sports and nutrition supplements.
Program
General pharmacology. Drugs acting on autonomic nervous system. Antihypertensive drugs. Commonly prescribed drugs in Sport medicine. NSAIDs, glucocorticoids. Analgesics. Drugs used in orthopedic medicine. Drugs illegally used in sport competition: effects on athletic performance , mechanism of action, side and toxic effects. Doping agents according to WADA classification.

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
