Learning Objectives
The course aims to give students the ability to use geomorphological indicators in environmental studies, territorial planning, risk assessment and the use of resources.
Program
The application fields in Geomorphology. Landscape and Environment.
Tools.Photogeology, photo geomorphology and related data processing.
Applications. Geomorphological indicators in river, coastal and slope environments. Geomorphological indicators of the effects of earthquakes.
The contribution of Geomorphology to the sustainable use of resources. Geosites, geomorphosites and geodiversity.
Geomorphology and safeguarding of cultural and historical heritage.

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment
- Teaching
The course is based on lectures and practical exercitations in photo laboratory and in field.
- Attendance
An individual project to geomorphological mapping with the final report and discussion will be required.

- Assessment
Oral examination
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
