Learning Objectives

The course includes lessons that deal with knowledge and expertise of behaviors and lifestyles that individuals should adopt to maintain or prolong a good mental and physical health.

The aim is to professionally qualify the students to work in healthcare settings, fitness centers and gyms.

The course will tend to develop the needs and demands of the market in a structured and functional way, and it will elaborate and apply the scientific knowledge to the human movement. Students will need to prove to have gained valuable and in-depth skills and to be self-sufficient in OPERATIONAL STRUCTURES STRUTTURE OPERATIVE, where specific knowledge is required to maintain DAY-TO-DAY EFFICIENCY L'EFFICIENZA NELLA QUOTIDIANITÀ. The course will tend to give priority to the training methodology in a gradual and taxonomic way with a predominantly aerobic sub-maximal exercise, in order to counteract all the dysmetabolic and hypokinetic problems of modern society.

Workshop in the laboratory, using cardio-respiratory fitness equipment, body weight exercise with the application of specific methods of posturology, for proprioceptive training and prevention; Physical activity in different environments.

Program

Fitness training theory and methodology.

Theory and technique of:

Aerobics;

Step;

Postural training;

Technique and teaching of Bosu and postural exercises;

Cardio-respiratory fitness, use of training protocols with gym ergometers;

Water training and in different environments;

Functional training;

Resistance training, use of isotonic machines, free weights and elastic band;

Programming individualized and tailored physical activity and training protocols for different populations;

Designing learning units with the use of small, large tools, unusual and body weight for different goals and populations.

Teaching Material

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment

Teaching

Lectures for the theoretical part.

For the practical part workshops and practical lessons within fitness facilities using body weight and isotonic, cardiovascular and weight machines.

Audio-visual material.

Attendance

Minimum mandatory attendance: 50% of total course hours.

Other study material can be discussed and agreed with the lecturer.

Assessment

Tests during the course, oral presantation P.Point, creation of exercise program.

An interview.

The formative evaluation (which has been awarded a score of at least 18/30) can be considered, at the student's choice, valid for passing the exam. If the student chooses not to use it, she/he must support the interview.
For both tests, the evaluation criteria are as follows:

- Relevant and effective answers in relation to the contents of the program; - level of mastery of knowledge; - adequacy of disciplinary vocabulary and terminological precision; - relevant application of methodologies, techniques, tools; - articulation of the answer.

Each of the criteria is evaluated based on a judgment four-level scale, with equal importance assigned to each criterion. The final evaluation is expressed in thirtieths

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.

Additional Information for Non-Attending Students

Teaching

For the theoretical part follow the scheduled program using the book.

For the practical part workshop and practical lessons within fitness facilities with the use of body weight and isotonic, cardiovascular and weight machines. SAME AS ATTENDING STUDENTS.
