Learning Objectives

The course plans to address the major theories of criminology and psychology on the topic of deviance, outlining the risk factors and protective factors, both internal and external to the person, that is linked to the living environment. We will therefore examine both personological social and cultural factors that made indoor in marginal and deviant behavior.
The course also includes the acquisition of knowledge by students of various forms of marginality and deviance and what may be the most functional responses from the company.
Purpose of the course is the acquisition of advanced concepts foundations of social and clinical psychology, applied in a context of legal and judicial intervention. The program is intended to illustrate an integrated approach to assessment and intervention, to understand the complexity of the phenomena linked to marginality and deviance.
 

Program

Illustration of the main theories of classical economics to come to more recent ones that provide an interdisciplinary approach.
The specificities of the different marginalization and delinquency. It will be made a distinction between occasional deviance, and the real criminal career, with an analysis of personal factors, personality characteristics, contextual factors and forms of belonging to the subcultures.
Will address the various forms of deviance: individual, group, organized, women and minors. We will also analyzed the possible answers that the company offers as forms of prevention and control: the social interventions to those legal-normative.
If the deviation is one of the forms of marginality reminiscent timely responses and involving mainly the security levels; it is true that in society there are other forms of marginalization that are characterized by dysfunctional behaviors that reflect a state of maladjustment less "noisy."
The course also expected to address forms of social maladjustment, from the most famous to the most modern, coming to outline the diversity of factors, margins and psychosocial disadvantage.
It will also be given special importance to the role of assessment in which the psychologist is called to do about the author of crime and socially dangerous factors, both internal and external.
It will be paid particular attention to the psychological evaluation of both the victims and the authors of the various crimes, such as: stalking, murder, pedophilia, etc.
Particular attention also will be given to deepening of the factors criminogenetici and criminodinamici.

the ability to bear witness

the protected hearing and recording evidence

the suggestibility

hints of forensic psychopathology

juvenile delinquency

the treatment of sex offenders
