Learning Objectives
Medical devices and cosmetics are two categories of products that are increasingly present and important in the pharmacy. The aim of the course is to give the student the basics for the management of medical devices and cosmetic products in the pharmacy. The student will have sufficient knowledge to choose and recommend the most suitable medical device or cosmetic product to the patient's request.

Course Objectives
The student will be able to
1. Properly classify and know the classes of medical devices and cosmetic products
2. Know how to choose a medical device and a cosmetic product
3. Know how to recommend the most suitable product according to patient needs

There is no obligation to attend but participation in the course is strongly recommended.

The subject of exam will be only what is presented at lesson.
The exam consists of a writing in which to answer 10 questions (5 of medical devices and 5 of cosmetic products). The duration of the test is 45 minutes and the correction of the writing exam will take place during the exam session.
The student has the possibility to take an oral test to increase the evaluation during the exam session.
During the year a partial test will be carried out on medical devices. It consists of 5 written questions to be answered in 45 minutes. Passing the exam allows the student to take the exam in a session of his choice answering only the question related to cosmetic products. The partial exam is valid for 1 year after which the student will have to take the complete exam.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
