Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

Knowledge and understanding: The student must be able to know the main classes of natural chemical substances of pharmaceutical interest, highlighting the relationships between the structure of the active ingredients, biosynthesis, molecular properties, and reactivity.

Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: The student will have to show the ability to choose and apply his knowledge for the recognition of molecules, belonging to a class of natural substances and the related main pharmacological activity.

Autonomy of judgment: The student will have to show the acquisition of judgment skills to undertake recognition of the main classes of natural substances relevant in pharmaceutical chemistry.

Communication skills: The student will have to show the development of communication skills using technical words suitable for the presentation of natural molecules and their pharmacological properties.

Ability to learn: The student, at the end of the course, will have a good autonomy in the recognition of molecules belonging to the main classes of natural substances and their main pharmacological properties.
