Learning Objectives
The course aims to provide students with the fundamental theoretical concepts related to playful and creative-expressive activities in various pedagogical-educational contexts of childhood and, more generally, in the educating society.
Program
Specifically, the following topics will be addressed: play in childhood, with its theories and educational scenarios; playful activities in their possible expressions during the different developmental stages of childhood, which can also be related to the universe of graphic gestures, such as scribbling, spontaneous drawing, and handwriting.
The following topics will then be addressed: a) the figure of Maestro Manzi in his educational and school-related actions; b) the pedagogical and educational expressiveness identifiable in the writings of Pier Paolo Pasolini.
Bridging Courses
None. For attending students, the discussion of the topics will start from the basic ideas necessary to significantly assimilate the new conceptual materials provided by the course.

- Acquire theoretical and methodological knowledge with respect to the main topics related to the field of educational theories on play and creative processes.
- Know some educational issues related to learning contexts.

- Know how to choose and compare the different tools of observation and data collection in relation to the topics covered by the course.
- Know how to analyze some structured models of scientific observation and then relate them to research and the different cognitive and explanatory paradigms.

- It elaborates in an autonomous and active way the theoretical contents.
Communication skills (communication skills):
- express clearly and critically the contents of the course, illustrating the meaning;
- communicate through the use of specific disciplinary language;
- to argue on themes and problems characteristic of the Pedagogy of the game.

- use knowledge and concepts to reason according to the specific logic of the pedagogical discipline
- use knowledge and concepts to analyse novel situations and develop cutting-edge pedagogical actions
- identify strategies and solutions adapted to unexplored and emergency contexts
- move independently in the study of texts and materials provided.

- Assessment
Final assessment by means of an written test, carried out on the dates of the official appeals by a Committee chaired by the Course Holder. The written assessment test, if carried out, will consist of a test with questions on the concepts and theories studied in the teaching of Pedadgogy of the game, possibly also with questions to allow personal elaboration on the subject.
The assessment critics used for the tests are:
- Knowledge of the contents of the texts studied and ability to report the problems addressed in them
- Learning definitions and concepts as well as technical terms of the discipline.
- Ability to link and contextualise content, problems, in-depth methods in the course of study.
- Ability to rework the acquired knowledge in a personal and critical way.
- Expressive properties and use of specialist terminology.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
