Scientific Programming: Frameworks
Abstract dell'evento
Scientific disciplines rely on a vast corpus of algorithms and codes which enable modelling, simulation and data analysis. Several more or less specialised frameworks have been developed over the years, which enable the use of the said algorithms, significantly reducing the need for scientists to code almost from scratch. In this first lecture, we will introduce the most common ones and highlight which applications may be most suitable for each. We intend to convey sufficient knowledge to make an informed choice about the framework most suitable for individual use cases.
