Learning Objectives
The course aims to help students become aware of the importance of educating children to read and the pleasure of reading, through a coherent and reasonable choice of texts adapted to different ages and different tastes of the young audience.
Program
General section
The course aims to deepen the issues of fair value to be attributed to the reading, as a moment of "educational and reflective pause", aimed to discover new horizons of meaning, significantly training, especially for the subject in evolution. It also wants to address the issue of writing, understood as metacognition instrument, capable of increasing the degree of self-awareness, as well as expressive and emotional processing tool. You will also want to emphasize and deepen the timeless debate existing between those who support the paper and digital reading. It is therefore necessary to think of a teaching, aimed at supporting an integration ratio of the book culture and the advent of new technologies, with a view to enrich the skills and abilities.
Lecture part
Among the various literary genres to be offered for young people, it is also the important role played by th autobiography and biography, two literary genres, highly interconnected, through which the story itself, the story of the historical memory, connected to the childhood memories serves as an important tool for introspection and knowledge.
