THE FEMALETHE FEMALE MIDDLE AGES IN THE LYRICAL TRADITION OF ITALY, FRANCE AND SPAIN
Objectives (Dublin descriptors): students must demonstrate systematic under standing of the sector of study and mastery of the research methods associated with it.
Program
Contents: The rise of lyric music sung in the vulgar tongues of the romance-language areas; literary texts by female authors. In this context, the trobairitz cantos express notes of an uninhibited and passionate love that defines the style of the female Middle Ages still to be discovered.
