Learning Objectives
The course aims:
1) to introduce learners to English sociolinguistic aspects and conversation analysis;
2) to help students develop skills targeted at analyzing English language phenomena in a sociolinguistic perspective;
3) to provide learners with hands-on tasks focusing on pragma-sociolinguistic issues related to various English contexts.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
Knowledge and understanding: students will learn English-specific sociolinguistic theory.
Applying knowledge and understanding: students will be able to identify and apply English-specific sociolinguistic theory.
Making judgements: students will be able to analyze and evaluate the sociolinguistic strategies and theoretical tenets implemented in English-specific contexts.
Communication: students will be able to talk about English-specific sociolinguistic theory.
Lifelong learning skills: students will be able to learn collaboratively.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
