Through classroom activities and personal study, the course aims to provide the student with essential knowledge (critically built and attentive to the historical dimension) of the epistemological and methodological foundations of general psychology, as well as the salient features of the main mental processes, from those cognitive and communicative to those affective and motivational.

In relation to General Psychology, students must show the possession of:

- the mastery of basic skills;

- understanding of the basic concepts of the discipline;

- the ability to use knowledge and concepts for reasoning according to the logic of the discipline.

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

They will be adopted teaching methods including direct exposure, group discussion, analysis of historically and scientifically significant texts, experiences and/or tutorials and deepenings in form of seminar.

Assessment

The exam includes a written ascertainment proof, which will be followed by an oral proof.

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
