Learning Objectives
The course will address the issue of religious diversity from a philosophical perspective. After a first part concerning the nature of the problem from a historical point of view, cultural and epistemological, the course will focus on the main models of philosophical and theological interpretation of religious diversity, illustrating and discussing them critically.
Program
1) Religious diversity yesterday and today.
2) The claim of truth by religions.
3) Conflicting claims of truth in religion.
4) Religious pluralism.
5) Religious exclusivism.
6) Religious inclusivism.
7) Rational standars for evaluating religions.

Awareness of the problems created by religious diversity in modern times; ability to interpret the complexity of the religious phenomenon; ability to understand the theoretical reasons that underlie religious difference and the possibility of a productive dialogue.
