Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

Knowledge and understanding: The student, through the participation of frontal lessons and the individual study, will develop knowledge and understanding about the determinants of health-disease continuum, the epidemiological assessment, primary prevention models and behavioral, environmental and food risk factors that most threaten health in different age groups, with particular attention to child and adolescent age.

Applying knowledge and understanding: The student will know how to evaluate the presence of protective and risk factors in the practice of his profession, he will be able to assess the possibility and the need to take simple and complex preventive actions in its professional environment.

Making judgments: The student will have developed behaviors able to interpret the demographic, epidemiological and statistical data supplied from registers and databases, and to select the correct scientific information, identifying potential "target" of interest of their activities.

Communication skills: The student will be able to consciously use a relevant language about the health and educational sciences, recognizing both traditional and innovative ways and tools of communication.

Learning skills: The student will be able to apply learning methods and tools to address the issues studied in the course, and he will be capable to autonomously expand its knowledge.
