Learning Objectives

The Course goal is to build the student's competence for a better training planning, into the different individual sport specialities, in the macrocycle or microcycle. We, as a trainer, must to point in reaching the best results in the several contests in a agonistic modern sport schedule. This is possible only by a validate scientific principles and methods, to be choose with caution.

Program

The Course Program consists in theoretical lessons and some practical developments that apply training basic principles and Individual Sports activities programs. Training Theoretical Adaptation Principles are debated related to different training stimuli which are applied in the long or short cycle.

 

· Muscle, bone and connective tissue adaptations, such as the muscle activity and energies transformation system adaptations.

· Sport load and their effects on the athletes physiology; fatigue and restore role in the athletes training system;

· Training organization basis and the multiannual process structure pointed to the sport performance improving;

· Training Microcycle and Mesocycle units organization and the annual training organization

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

At the Course end, the student must have:

·  "knowledge and understanding" such as, how to use the periodization training programs, to reach the pick of performance in the right time. How to apply the Training techniques of the strength improvements variables by it's 6 phases (a) anatomical adaptation, b) ipertrophy, c) maximum strength, d) the development from maximum to specific strength, e) maintenance and tapering). Furthermore he has to know how to integrate these systems with the energetic system training, the specific training and the nutritional strategies.

· "applying knowledge and understanding" by writing, "in progress",  a complete training project, using also web platform example,  adding an oral presentation to the class.

· "making judgements", by choosing the different stages of the training project program and explaining the why of his choose.

· "communication skills", that are necessary in filling the Project on a web platform and explaining it in an oral presentation.

· "learning skills",  building all the previous steps, the student highlight his capacities in learning and linking different matter in his study autonomy,

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Teaching

Please be prompt to set the Moodle Platform (Blended Learning) to be used in any comunication between teacher and student

Attendance

It is a compulsory Course, so that you need to reach 50% of presence to be admitted to the final assesment

Assessment

The final assessment concerns: 1) "in progress" test, and 2) final tests:

·"in progress" test: a written non-structured test (a brief essay to explain the student acknowledgments on training program system debated in the Course), the score assessment is done by:

 - 15 points for "knowledge and understanding"

- 10 points for "applying knowledge and understanding" such as competences

- 5  points   for   "communication skills" (by multi media and oral strategies)

· Course end: a structured test (25 closed questions = 1 point each one) and a semi-structured test (2 questions asking opened answers= 2,5 points each one). It can be followed by an oral test

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
