Learning Objectives

The course is aimed at acquiring the fundamental principles of association, with particular attention to the issues in the field of sports.

There will also be some basic issues regarding the right to sport and their interaction with sports associations: state court in sport, sport work contract, the responsability of sport event organizer.

Part of the course will be devoted to the explanation of basic concepts of law, with references to constitutional, administrative and civil law, so that the students can orient themselves at the legal level in the sports field.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

the student at the end of the course will acquire the basic legal knowledge to be able to orientate himself within the sphere of sports association.

knowledge and understanding: the student will be able to understand the differences in discipline between the different categories of associations and to understand which form of association is best suited both in amateur sports and  professional.

applying knowledge and understanding : the student will be able to understand and interact with the dynamics of sports association so as to create a professional in the industry who is aware of the legal implications of his choices.

Making judgments: Students will be able to independently assess which is the best form of association for the sport sector in which they work, being able to understand the practical-application consequences of their choices.

Communication Skills: Students will learn how to interact with their colleagues and lecturers during lessons that will not only focus on frontal lessons but will involve students in examining concrete cases and stimulating them to refine their communication and dialogue techniques.

Learning Skills: At the end of the course, students will have a method of study that allows them to deal independently not only with issues related to sports associations, but different issues of law or of other kinds. This will be achieved by teaching the best methods of text analysis, magazine review, and case law, as well as inviting the student to critical analysis of the materials that will be submitted to him.

Assessment

Written exam.

For those who did not pass the written exam or want an higher valutation there's the possibility of an oral exam in addiction.

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
