Learning Objectives

Medical devices and cosmetics are two categories of products that are increasingly present and important in the pharmacy. The aim of the course is to give the student the basics for the management of medical devices and cosmetic products in the pharmacy. The student will have sufficient knowledge to choose and recommend the most suitable medical device or cosmetic product to the patient's request.

A good knowledge of General Chemistry is recommended. Chemistry-Physics, Organic Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology In particular, you will need to know what you learned in Pharmaceutical Technology over topical forms

The student will be able to

2. Know how to choose a medical device and a cosmetic product

3. Know how to recommend the most suitable product according to patient needs

Assessment

The partial tests written during the course are two: one related to Medical Devices and one to Cosmetic Products. The students of the previous year may also be admitted to the exams at the request of the teacher. The mathematical average of the two partial tests, constitutes the final vote and exempts the student from supporting the oral test. In order for partial trials to be valid, a positive vote must be obtained in both tests. The final vote of the partial tests shall be valid for one year from the end of the second compilation date. The oral test is supported in three cases to. For the student who decides to take the exam in full b. For the student who wishes to increase the vote (if the oral test is negative, the whole exam must be repeated in the manner described in point a) c. In case of failure of the partial tests

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
