Learning Objectives
The course aims to provide the basics for understanding the operation of the business , its various forms and ways in which it relates to the different environmental contexts , including various models of capitalism ; Secondly , the course introduces the main issues , the main approaches and analytical and managerial tools inherent in the formulation of corporate strategy and business strategy , as well as the organizational and operational management business , with a focus on industrial organizations . At the end of the course students will have acquired the conceptual and methodological tools to understand the structure and the complex dynamics affecting the business entity and will have assimilated an organic and evolutionary vision of itself and of its development .

Knowledge and understanding (knowledge and understanding) Students must acquire adequate knowledge and an effective capacity of understanding of contexts and management models of the economy and its management. Applying knowledge and understanding (applying knowledge and understanding) Students must be able to apply their knowledge and understanding and solving problems related to multiple and different contexts that characterize its nature, the different sized companies, using, where necessary, also to different disciplinary skills. Making judgments (Making judgments) Students must know how to use both at the conceptual level and at the operational knowledge gained self-evaluation skills and abilities discriminated the different application contexts. Communication skills (communication skills) Students must acquire the typical discipline technical language to communicate clearly and unambiguously with specialists stakeholders (managers, academics, experts, ...) and at the same time must be able to develop interpersonal and communication skills with non-specialists. Learning skills (learning skills) Students need to develop appropriate learning skills to allow them to continue to independently investigate major issues of discipline especially in the workplace in which they will operate.

Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment
- Teaching
The course envisages the use of different teaching methods:
- frontal lessons;
- testimonials by managers and entrepreneurs;
- group work and drafting of case studies on business and management issues;
- classroom discussions.
In particular, during the course will be carried out group work that will see students actively involved in the analysis of the main economic sectors or companies representing the Italian reality and the Marche Region.

- Assessment
The evaluation takes place through a written test, consisting of 5 open questions on the topics dealt with during the course. The evaluation of the answers will take into account the degree of knowledge of the topic, completeness and clarity of the exhibit.
The student must answer the questions in order to demonstrate:
- to know the concepts studied;
- having mastered the subjects and concepts dealt with during the course;
- to be able to apply such concepts for the purposes of understanding, critical assessment and resolution of situations and problems relating to the economy and business management;
- to be able to expose their arguments strictly and in a limited time using an appropriate and synthetic language.
The time to answer questions is 140 minutes. Assessment of the level of preparation of the student will be done taking into account the assessment of each individual examination question and the work done by the student (if attending) during the year.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
