Learning Objectives
knowledge of the language of Caravaggio, of the clinet and of the relationship with other artists. Influence of Caravaggio on contemporaries (Giovanni Baglione and Orazio gentileschi), especially on artists who made copies from his pantings. Works by Caravaggio in foreign collections.
Program
Caravaggio's activity: origins, Rome, Naples, Malta, Sicily. Analysis of his most representative works, present in foreign collections. Path of reading copies deriving from its originals. Mapping of caravagges active in Italy and in Europe.
Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
Ability to rad the work, ability to reconstruct the historical-cultural context. Basic knowledge of painting between the early an seventeenth centuries.

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment
- Teaching
Lectures, guided tours of museums.
- Attendance
Partecipation in educational activities for at least three qiarters, mid-course verification. Basic knowledge of paintig between the early and seventeenth centuries.
- Assessment
Oral examination.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.

Drafting of paper of 8/20 folders on a topic covered in the course (with notes and bibliography).
- Assessment
Oral esamination and discusison of the elaborate.
