Learning Objectives

At the end of the course the student knows: - the importance of badminton as a preparatory play-motor activity for the development of coordinative skills and conditional abilities; - the regulations, the tools of the game, the correct teaching methodology related to the age phases and is able to choose the appropriate educational progressions.

Theory

Historical notes, general information on Badminton and F.I.Ba; The equipment Historical notes, general information on Badminton and F.I.Ba; The play equipment; The use of the gym; Methodological and didactic-organizational proposals for teaching badminton in the various age groups; 2011-2012 technical game regulations; Organization of single, double and team competitions; Structure of a tournament; Compilation of a game report; Arbitrage exercises and use of forms.

Practice

The grip of the racket; Racket-badminton awareness exercises; Practical proposals for teaching in the various age groups; The high and short service; The shots of right and backhand; Clear, Drive, Drop, Smash; Movements in the field in the Singular and in the double; The blows above the head and on hand; Network hits, lob, cut, net drop; Leg movements for individual strokes; Group training internships; Analysis of motor proposals and methodology for correcting technical gestures; Proposals preparatory to the game with primary school children, with secondary school students of first and second grade.
