Learning Objectives
The course aims to instill in the student an in-depth knowledge both of widespread industrial processes such as the production of tablets, and of more advanced processes such as the preparation / production of various types of micro / nanoparticle systems, as well as methods of chemical-physical characterization of semi-solid systems.
Program
Biopharmaceuticals: absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion.
Production of tablets and physical aspects of the compression process.
Rheology: rotational rheometer, flow curves, viscoelasticity, viscoelastic and oscillatory analysis.
Inhalation systems: aerosols, MDI, PPE, characterization of inhalation powders.
Microneedles: solid, coated, soluble, hollow.
Mucoadhesion: polymer-mucus interactions, mucoadhesive tests.
Solid micro and nano-particle systems: preparation techniques and uses.
Solid-lipid nanoparticles: particularities and preparation methods.

Frontal lesson
- Course books
Nobody in particular, there is no book that contains all topics covered.
- Assessment
Oral examination
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
