Learning Objectives
The course is aimed at acquiring the basic theoretical and methodological principles for the formulation of a nutritional plan for subjects in different physiological and pathological conditions (after medical assessment). The course aims at the theoretical and practical mastery of metabolic evaluation methodologies applied to energy / functional evaluation. The knowledge of the guidelines, the theoretical aspects underlying each illustrated methodology, the relative limits, the applicability, and the correct interpretation of the data collected, are essential training elements of the course as they are fundamental to the practice of the Nutritionist Biologist.

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
The student must show the mastery of the basic knowledge related to: execution, applicability, reliability and use of the main dietary techniques in harmony with the established national and international scientific societies.
The student will have to show the understanding of the concepts and the theories expected by the course, will be able to provide and analyze practical examples, critically analyzing the impact of the practice in the management of a nutritional program and in the nutritional follow-up.
The student must show the possession of the ability to use knowledge and concepts that allow reasoning according to the specific logic of the discipline. In particular, it should be able to select the most appropriate technique and perform a functional energetic assessment in practice and the formulation of a basic nutritional plan in a coherent and effective manner in relation to the needs of the subjects or of the proposed case studies.

Written test of a practical nature, conduct of a case study
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
