Learning Objectives

The aim of the course is to acquire notions on human reproduction and Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART). The most recent knowledge on gametogenesis, embryogenesis, genetics in reproduction and ART will be illustrated. All the ART technologies such as: sperm evaluation and preparation, intra-uterine insemination, in vitro fertilization (IVF), intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), gamete and embryo cryo-preservation and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis will be described. Furthermore, notions on Quality Assessment and Management in ART and the specific Italian Legislation on the field will be explained.

Program

01 –    Gametogenesi umana: spermatogenesi e ovogensi  (6 ore)

Human Gametogenesis: spermatogeneis and oogenesis (6 hours)


02 –    Valutazione del liquido seminale, tecniche di separazione nemaspermica ed

inseminazione intrauterina (5 ore)

Sperm evaluation, sperm preparation and intra-uterine insemination (5 hours)

 

03 –    Fecondazione Assistita: stimolazione ovarica, prelievo chirurgico di ovociti e spermatozoi, inseminazione in vitro (FIVET e ICSI), trasferimento embrionale (6 ore)

  In vitro fertilization: ovarian stimulation, oocyte and sperm retrieval, in vitro fertilization (IVF and ICSI), embryo transfer (6 hours)

04 –    Valutazione di ovociti ed embrioni pre-impianto (5 ore)

  Oocyte and embryo evaluatiuon (5 hours)

 

05 –    Tecniche di Crioconservazione di gameti ed embrioni (5 ore)

  Cryopreservation of gametes and embryos (5 hours)

 

06 –    Risultati delle tecniche di procreazione medicalmente assistita ed il loro impatto sociale (5 ore) 

  IVF results and their social impact (5 hours)

07 –    Diagnosi genetica pre-impianto (6 ore)

  Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis ( 6 hours)
 

08 –    Cenni sulla gestione qualità dei centri di PMA ed inquadramento Legislativo (4 ore)

  Quality Managment and Assurance, Italian Legislation (4 hours)
