Learning Objectives
The course aims:
1) to introduce learners to business Chinese language in order to develop their ability to hold an advanced conversation in Chinese;
2) to provide students with intercultural competences to effort communicative tasks in commercial Chinese contexts;
Program
Lesson programme:
Chinese texts reading in order to improve and to describe:
1. Chinese technical lexicon with reference to the different aspects of commercial system (commercial letters, fax negotiazion, trade fair participation, conflicts resolution, etc.);
2. Cultural and sociolinguistic aspect with reference to the devoloping of commercial brand in Chinese language.
3. Cultural and sociolinguistic aspect with reference to the hospitality for Chinese businessmen and visitors in Italy (Cinese etiquette, cultural customs, etc.)
Teaching Material
The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
Supporting Activities
The course will include teaching practice lessons held by a mother tongue lecturer. Reading, writing and practice in conversation lessons will be conducted by Chinese lectors. The attendance to these lessons is highly recommended.

Teaching methods include face-to-face lectures, exercise sessions, seminars. The course will include teaching practice lessons held by a mother tongue lecturer.
