Learning Objectives

The course aims to answer some of the questions posed by the social pedagogical debate today.

In this sense, some of the fundamental themes of social pedagogy will be critically investigated: the critical and heuristic formation of the subject; the social issue of school education and the demand for educational policy, even internationally.

Program

1. The critical and heuristic training of the subject:

  • Theoretical models of research;
  • Educational models; Research and learning;
  • The formation of critical and heuristic thinking.

2. The Social Issue of School Education:

  • Pedagogy and Didactics;
  • The contexts of learning.

3. International education policy:

  • The approach to capabilities.

In relation to the student discipline you will have to show possession: 

- The mastery of basic knowledge concerning key areas and issues of social pedagogy

- The theoretical and methodological approaches of social pedagogy

- The ability to use knowledge and concepts to assume actions and projects on specific issues

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
