Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment
- Teaching
Frontal lessons. Individual study, which is recommended to integrate with lecturer talks, by appointment, in case of difficulty reading the texts. For more simple questions, please contact us by e-mail.
- Attendance
Complete study of adopted texts, presence at at least 3/4 of the lessons. The student must have the normal level of general culture that can be expected at this level of studies, especially with regard to knowledge of contemporary history and the ability to express themselves properly in Italian. If the student is aware that there are gaps in historical information, it is strongly recommended that they review the manual adopted in the high school year. The study of the texts in the program has to cure the understanding of the fundamental concepts and the ability to expose them correctly in their own words. The purely mnemonic study is not appreciated. It is strongly recommended that you consult the teacher for any serious difficulties in understanding the texts that were found in the individual study.
- Course books
1)J. Chapoutot, La legge del sangue. Pensare e agire da nazisti, Einaudi, Torino 2016
2)P. Levi, I sommersi e i salvati, Einuadi, Torino 1986
3)C.M.Bellei, La comunità nuda. Il politico tra libertà e sopravvivenza, Aras, Fano 2012
- Assessment
The exam is individual and takes place only orally. All students will be asked to start the show by starting a topic of their choice. Knowledge of all the texts will be verified. The purely mnemonic study is not appreciated and does not guarantee that the exam is over. The level of general culture and the ability to express themselves correctly and clearly will affect the vote. It will be highly appreciated the ability to make relevant personal considerations. The top marks will be awarded by students who, in addition to having no major gaps in the program, will demonstrate critical meaning, good argumentative ability, and effective exposure. At the request of the student, a subject (optional) may be discussed during the exam, which must be delivered at least ten days before the exam. The editing of the dissertation does not dispense with the completeness of the study and has a positive impact on the vote only if it is of good quality, otherwise it will not be taken into account.
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
