Learning Objectives
Students initially attend an introductory lesson on Optical, Transmission, Scanning and Confocal Microscopy.
Then they learn the basics of using these tools, trying to make them understand in which experimental situations one microscopy is more appropriate than the other. Then they are accompanied towards the use of these tools through a theoretical lesson regarding the preparation of the samples. Finally the students are taken to the laboratory where they can practically prove what has previously been explained with theory.
Program
Sample preparation for observation with the Transmission, Scanning and Confocal Microscope.
Bridging Courses
There are no prerequisites.
Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)
During laboratory attendance the student acquires preliminary basics to be able to attend, possibly, a laboratory during the thesis writing at the end of the course of studies.

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
