Learning Objectives

During the workshop, the legal context of the cases and the roles of the various professional figures involved will be framed, as well as the regulatory constraints to which the forensic consultant / expert is bound (for example, compliance with the cross-examination).

The "Forensic cases" laboratory aims to give students the opportunity to analyze and discuss cases of forensic consultancy from judges or from lawyers in different contexts, both in civil and criminal law.

Program

Starting from the analysis of the judge's questions, the methodological aspects of the interview, observation and psychodiagnostic tools, the constraints and specificities of the assessment in the forensic field and the different phases on which the expert work can be articulated, will be discussed, up to drafting of the final report.

The program includes the framing of a case, the analysis of judge’s questions, the definition of the issues to be explored, the evaluation methodology (interviews, observations), psychodiagnosis. Regarding psychodiagnosis, some of the most used tools in the forensic field on adults and children, resources and critical issues will be presented.

Particular attention will be paid to the topic of diagnosis in the forensic field and, depending on the topic dealt with in the case, of a diagnosis centered more on individual functioning and / or family functioning.
