Learning Objectives
The course aims to provide the students knnowledge about organs and systems and skills to make connections among them.
Program
Introduction to the structure and function of the cell. Description of the various cellular organelles. Cytosketeter. Meiosis and mitosis.
Tissues. Epithelial tissue: lining epithelia, glandular epithelia. Connective tissues: connective tissues proper, supporting connective tissues. Blood and lymph. Muscle tissues. Nervous tissue.
Organs and systems. Locomotor system: bone typology and nomenclature of skeletal bones. Structure of the skull. Shoulder girdle and upper limb. Vertebral column and toracic cage. Pelvic girdle and lower limb
Circulatory system. Structure of the arteries, veins and capillaries, pulmonary circulation and systemic circulation. Anatomy of the heart.
Lymphatic system, lymphatic tracts and lymphoid organs such as lymph nodes, thymus, spleen and M.A.L.T.
Respiratory system: anatomy of the nose; pharynx, larynx. Anatomy of the trachea, bronchi and lungs.
Digestive system: mouth, teeth and tongue; pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine. Liver and biliary tract, gallbladder. Anatomy of the pancreas.
Urinary system: structure of the kidneys. Anatomy of the nephron. Urinary tract: ureter, bladder and urethra
Male apparatus: gonads and spermatic ducts.
Female reproductive system: gonads and genital organs. Ovarian and uterine cycle.
Endocrine system: structure of the endocrine glands, pituitary gland, epiphysis, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal gland.
Central nervous system: spinal cord, brain stem, cerebellum, diencephalon and telencephalon. Brain ventricular system. Meninges, cerebrospinal fluid and CSF circulation.
Autonomous nervous system, with particular reference to the parasympathetic and orthosympathetic sections, to the constituent structures and to the target organs.

The student has to demonstrate that he has achieved a knowledge and understanding of Anatomy that allows him / her to set up the discussion of theoretical issues in a logical and complete way.
The student has to demonstrate that they are able to set up the treatment of application problems in the f Anatomy's field.
The studen has to demostrate to be able to independently different opinions on problematic aspects of the Anatomy
The student has to demonstrate to achieve a good learning ability, not only in the form of memorizing the information studied, but also in the form of organizing his own thoughts around the different topics of the course.
