Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

D1- KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING SKILLS: to pass the final interview / exam, the student will have to demonstrate the achievement of knowledge related to the physiopathology of the blood and lymphatic system, the main analytical and interpretive technologies and methodologies used in the diagnostic sectors of hematology and immunology.

D2- ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE and UNDERSTANDING: the student will have to demonstrate his ability to use the knowledge and concepts learned during the course to address and solve the main diagnostic questions in the field of hematology and laboratory immunology

D3- AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT: at the end of the course, the student must be able to independently assess which diagnostic algorithms are to be adopted in the various hematological and immunological analytical processes.

D4- COMMUNICATION SKILLS: at the end of the course the student must demonstrate that he has learned the elements of judgment necessary for the interpretation and reporting of the diagnostic investigations in the laboratory evaluation of the pathophysiology of the blood and lymphatic system.

D5- LEARNING SKILLS: the student must be able to discuss and interpret the results of the most common hematological and immunological investigations and propose the most appropriate choices for an optimal laboratory diagnostic path.

Teaching Material

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Supporting Activities

The Professor declares himself available to hold, at the laboratory of the "OO RR Marche Nord" Hospital in Pesaro, short seminars for groups of students, aimed at understanding and learning the operational dynamics and technologies related to the diagnostic protocols in hematology and immunology

Assessment

The method of evaluating the notions learned during the Course involves a final interview, lasting 15 - 20 minutes, with the help of the slides published on the Moodle platform blended.uniurb.it, on three different topics covered during the Course. To pass the final exam, it is essential to answer sufficiently each of the three topics covered by the interview. For the assessment, the level of knowledge of the topics covered, the capacity and appropriateness of the exhibition, the links between the basic concepts of pathophysiology of the haemolymphopoietic system and related laboratory diagnostics will be considered, in accordance with what is indicated by the Dublin descriptors.
The assessment of the interview / exam is expressed in thirtieths (with a minimum score of 18).

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
