The course aims to provide students with basic knowledge of the anatomy of motor control systems . The course is also designed to give the student the knowledge of the anthropometric values, useful to define the somatotype of the athletes in relation to the physical activities. .
Program
Biology elements: notes on the structural organization of the eukaryotic cell.
Connective tissue: extracellular matrix organization and cellular components. Bone and cartilaginous tissue
Classification and anatomy of the joints. Types of movement. Amplitude of movements.
Muscle tissue: skeletal muscle tissue. Morphological aspects of the contraction. The concept of motor unit, muscle shortening velocity, strength, flexibility, muscle spindles, muscle tone and its applications.
Theory of muscles, one, two and polyarticular muscles, the role of muscle fixation, external load and internal load. Notes on smooth muscle tissue
Nervous tissue: neuron and glial cells. Electrical and chemical synapses. Membrane potential and action potential. Neurotransmitters. Neuromuscular junction.
