Program
This course is designed to help students improve their communication skills, with particular attention to listening, through the use of videos and discussions based on topics taken from the book (in company 3.0 UPPER INTERMEDIATE student's book pack) and from the world of business. We will learn commercial expressions and vocabulary and review grammatical structures.
Second year students (B2) must NOT purchase a listening text book. The material for this exam will be provided in the classroom and on Blended Learning.
Attending class is optional, but it is important to improve your English skills. Active language skills such as listening and speaking require constant practice and exposure.
The exam simulations that address the specific topics of the final exam will be held at the end of each semester and from these you can see exactly how the final exam is carried out.
There is also self-study material at the Centro Linguistico Ateneo in Via Budassi. An identity card and B2 listening materials can be obtained from the secretary for the listening lab.
As for the exams, we will cover all the topics of the book, which will also be used as a basis for the final listening exam and the oral exam.
Teaching Material
The teaching material prepared by the language assistant in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the language assistant specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Notes
The first opportunity that students have to take the language exams (oral, written, listening) is in May/June (every year). The other sessions (in August/September and in December/January) are ONLY FOR STUDENTS WHO STILL HAVEN'T PASSED THE EXAMS. You are not allowed to take the exams just because you think you are ready, you must wait until the next may. After you have finished all of you language exams (oral, writting, listening and monografico) must "verbalizzare" your final mark for English 2 with Prof.ssa Federica Zullo.
