Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

D1 - Knowledge and understanding. The student will have to learn the fundamental principles of the management of medical devices and cosmetic products in the professional practice in Pharmacy. In particular, the student will be asked to link the notions learned in the course with what was studied in previous courses.

D2 - Ability to apply knowledge and understanding. The student must be able to use the mechanisms of action of medical devices to respond to the therapeutic needs of patients. As for cosmetic products, the student must be able to apply the knowledge acquired to correctly recommend the products that are requested by the customers of the Pharmacy

D3 - Autonomy of judgment. The student must be able to focus attention on the chemical-physical models to be used to solve a specific real problem or to interpret a collection of experimental data, i.e. he will have to independently understand which section of theoretical chemistry to use to solve a problem. These skills will be tested both with the written test and through targeted oral application questions. These skills will be assessed through the written test.

D4 - Communication skills. The student must be able to describe the principles and concepts learned during the course expressing themselves clearly, with appropriate terms and with appropriate examples. This ability will be assessed during the oral interview.

D5 - Learning skills. The student must be able to construct his / her scientific growth path in a critical and autonomous way, being able to correctly use the study material provided by the teacher and the in-depth material that he himself can obtain. These skills, as far as possible, will be stimulated by the teacher by proposing insights and providing exercises to be solved at home during the course, which will then be explained and discussed during the lessons.
