Learning Objectives
In line with the second year Experimental Pedagogy course, the laboratory is aimed at acquiring different methods of educational research. The three meetings, in fact, intend to promote in students the learning and consolidation of some forms of research typical of the world of school and fundamental for the teaching profession.
Specifically, the laboratory will focus on the promotion of the following specific educational objectives:
- distinguish and be able to apply forms of observational research and forms of research with intervention;
- distinguish and be able to apply the methodological approaches of quantitative and qualitative empirical research in education;
- recognize and know how to apply the fundamental phases of empirical and experimental research;
- analyze the characteristics of some tools and be able to apply the main experimental research.
Program
The laboratory program will focus mainly on the investigation and testing of solutions suitable for dealing with specific pedagogical-didactic problems. The students - called upon to work according to laboratory methods - will experiment with methods and tools specific to the experimental investigation. In particular, the experimental method in educational research and the main types of qualitative research and quantitative research will be examined.
