Learning Objectives

The course is aimed at the acquisition of the fundamental theoretical and methodological principles of the discipline Theory and methods of school planning and evaluation. The course aims, in particular, to mastery of the concepts, methodologies, and phases that characterize the planning. This knowledge constitutes essential training elements for the exercise of the professionalism of the pedagogist.

Specifically, the course aims to promote in students the following educational objectives:

- To know and be able to use appropriately the language of school programming;

- to know the characteristics of the phenomenon of school drop-out;

- to know the characteristics of educational planning and curricular design;

- To know the concept of competence;

- know and apply the main methodologies to support competency-based teaching;

- know and design the phases of a teaching proposal for competencies (UdA);

- know the aims of the Universal Design (UDL)

- know and apply the first principle of UDL (provide multiple means of representation)

- know and apply the second principle of UDL (provide multiple means of action and expression)

- know and apply the third principle of UDL (provide multiple means of involvement)

- know the deductive, interactive, and inductive design models.

- know and be able to design the phases of networked (DaD) and blended learning;

- Knowing and knowing how to design the training intervention modalities in DaD.

Program

The program will focus on the development of the following theoretical-methodological contents :

- the drop-out phenomenon;

- didactics for competencies;

- european key competencies;

- the inclusive educational project;

- cultural axes;

- national indications for the curriculum (first cycle of education and secondary school);

- curricular planning and the vertical curriculum;

- the phases of educational design for competencies;

- the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) for barrier-free universal design;

- the production of multimodal materials accessible to each and everyone;

- training modalities (presence, distance, blended);

- networked design (DaD);

- design models (deductive, inductive, interactive);

- the implementation of the training intervention (webinars, DaD, flipped classroom, reality tasks).

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
