Learning Objectives

The objective of the course is to offer an overview of the current Hispanic dialect complexity taking into account its historical development.

• Concept of linguistic variety

• Diversification factors. The varieties

• Geographic or diatopic variation

• Language, dialect and speech

• The linguistic fragmentation of Spain

• Languages ​​and dialects of Spain

• Languages ​​in contact

Learning Achievements (Dublin Descriptors)

At the end of the course the student:

-will know the different theoretical and methodological perspectives of the study of the geolinguistic variation of the Spanish language;

-will have acquired knowledge on the causes, diachronic and synchronic, of the diatopic variation of Spanish;

-will be able to identify, thanks to the tools acquired during the course, the varieties of European Spanish.

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Assessment

The exam methods relating to the monographic course will be written. For the other parts of the exam, see the indications given in the general part of the Vademecum.

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
