Learning Objectives
The course aims to strengthen students' comprehension skills acquired during bachelor's degree and to promote their autonomy of judgment in essay writing as well as the possibility to work with stronger critical abilities in ecdotic.
The course provides the necessary basis of Textual Criticism in Epic Poetry. It also provides study skills as well as interdisciplinary and comparative analysis skills in Medieval Spanish, French and Italian Literature.
Program
Contents: Textual criticism from Lachmann to Bédier. Epic Textuality: variance and mouvance from chansons de geste to romances.
The Epic literature: political and amorous treason; Magic in Epic Poetry in French, Iberian and Italian areas.

Texts: attending students are expected to read and understand the recommended bibliography uploaded to Moodle by the Professor.
Students which decide not to attend regularly frontal lectures need to follow the 'non-attending students syllabus', not considering the material on Moodle.
To obtain a French, Spanish or English bibliography please contact the Professor during office hours.

Verbal examination or thesis in accordance with the Professor.

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
