This course is entirely taught in Italian. Study materials can be provided in the foreign language and the final exam can be taken in the foreign language.

Learning Objectives

Psychology and neuroscience of the arts, both for the production of arts (by artists) and the perception of arts (by spectators).

Neuropsychology assessment and tests for evaluation of mental functions are also investigated, since they involve visual representation and processing of visual information.

Program

First part of the course (2 credits: 12 hours) concerns theories, methods, and results of Psychology of the arts.

Second part of the course (2 credits: 12 hours) concerns the Neurosciences of the arts.

Third part of the course (2 credits: 12 hours) concerns the psychological study of the Symbols.

Bridging Courses

None. Nevertheless, the student should have already acquired knowledges of General Psychology.

The non-attending student can use the same books and articles of attending students.

In addition, the non-attending student should download from Moodle > Blended Learning additional material to be studied.
