Learning Objectives
The aim of the course is to give the knowledges about the structure of plants.
Program
Cytology - Prokaryotic cell and eukaryotic cell, Cyanobacteria, Genus Spirulina
Common features of plant and animal cells: cell membrane, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi complex, mitochondria, lysosomes, peroxisomes, nucleus
The plant cell and its structures:
Plastids
Vacuolo - Nutritional components of vacuolar juice
Cell wall and its modifications - nutritional components of the cell wall
Cytoskeleton
Histology
Meristematic tissues
Adult tissues: parenchymatic, tegumental, mechanical, conductive, secretory
Anatomy:
Caule structure
Anatomy of the primary structure area of Gymnosperms
Anatomy of the primary structure area of Dicotyledons
Anatomy of Monocotyledons
Caule secondary body
The leaf: organography and anatomy
The root: morphology and anatomy

Knowledge and understanding:
The student must demonstrate basic knowledge about the structure of cell, tissues and organs of the plants
Applying knowledge and understanding:
The student must demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of the concepts that allow recognition among the various plant groups with reference to plants food interest
Making judgements:
The student should be able to identify and evaluate the membership of a plant food to a certain botanical group af plants
Communication skills:
The student mus demonstrate that he is able to illustrate and discuss strategies and arguments to distinguish between plant groups with particular reference to those of food interest
Learning skills:
The student must be able to use specific scientific texts for the profession or research

- Assessment
Oral examination. To verify the level of preparation of the student, 3 questions will be asked regarding the topics of the course. If the students enrolled on the exam exceed ten units, the exam will be written with three open questions. The evaluation in both cases is expressed in thirtieth and the evaluation will take into account the knowledge of the topics, their exposure, the correct use of the appropriate terminology, the ability to reason and the ability to establish connections between the different topics where possible.
- Disabilità e DSA
Le studentesse e gli studenti che hanno registrato la certificazione di disabilità o la certificazione di DSA presso l'Ufficio Inclusione e diritto allo studio, possono chiedere di utilizzare le mappe concettuali (per parole chiave) durante la prova di esame.
