Bridging Courses

The exam is accessed after passing the written test of the supplementary course of "Language and writing laboratory". This preparatory course takes place in the first semester for an expected duration of 18 hours, with lectures, learning simulations and self-assessment through blended learning. The final written test, compulsory, with correction and grade by the teacher in charge, will take place before the first session of the oral exams. The course in question will receive the recognition of 1 extracurricular cfu. Attendance at the course is not compulsory, but it is desirable that all students attend at least the first lesson so that they can ascertain the degree of skills and knowledge possessed. The useful information, and the dates of the exam sessions for the written test, will be communicated at the same time as those of the summer session.

The booklet includes texts related to the topics of the lessons, and is an exam subject for attending students. Other materials, texts and anthological selections will be provided to students via a blended learning platform. Assessment

Oral exam, after passing the written exam of the preparatory course "Language and writing". (See the section "Possible Prerequisites"). The aim is to enhance the oral argumentative skills of individual students in relation to a discipline that requires the possession of a specific vocabulary. During the test, the attending student is required to report, during the interview, on the topics covered by the study texts, which must demonstrate that they have read and understood every textual and critical aspect. Students will be assessed using the following criteria: (1) subject knowledge. - (2) ability to reason appropriately on the subject matter of the application. - (3) ability to expose matter with language properties. Those tests that demonstrate the student's possession of good critical and in-depth skills will be evaluated as "excellent"; the ability to orient oneself with certain mastery of the subject within the main topics covered in class, also establishing, if necessary, links; the ability to use the technical vocabulary of the discipline in a safe and accurate way. Those tests that demonstrate the student's possession of a mnemonic knowledge of the contents will be evaluated as "fair"; a minimum critical ability and connection between the main themes with the use of the language and the technical lexicon of the discipline. Those tests that demonstrate the achievement by the student of a minimum amount of knowledge regarding the fundamentals of the discipline, even in the presence of some training gaps, as well as the use of a language that is not entirely appropriate will be evaluated as "sufficient". Those tests that highlight difficulties in orientation of the student with respect to the topics addressed in the exam texts, serious training gaps with respect to the founding principles of the discipline and the non-use or improper use of the specific vocabulary will be evaluated negatively.

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
