Learning Objectives
The course of Cognitive Psychology describes Intelligence, Thinking, and States of Consciousness.
Hypnosis is an advanced investigation of States of Consciousness.
Program
The first part of the course (3 credits) concerns Intelligence, Thinking, and States of Consciousness.
The second part of the course (3 credits) concerns Hypnosis and altered states of consciousness.

2. Hypnosis, from theoretical foundations to clinical applications:
De Benedittis, Loriedo, Mammini, Rago "TRATTATO DI IPNOSI" Franco Angeli Editore - the student should learn the following parts:
2.1 "Fondamenti dell'ipnosi" - all (from page 13 to page 200) (Number of pages: 188)
2.2 "Ipnosi in medicina/chirurgia" - Dolore acuto e cronico (from page 203 to page 232) (Number of pages: 30)
2.3 "Ipnosi in ambito psichiatrico e psicoterapeutico" - one chapter at choice by the student among the following chapters: Psicosi; Disturbi depressivi; Disturbi d'ansia; Disturbo ossessivo-compulsivo; Disturbi correlati a traumi; Disturbi dissociativi; Disturbi della nutrizione e dell'alimentazione; Sovrappeso e obesità; Disturbi del sonno-veglia; Disturbo borderline.
- Assessment
ORAL examen (can be done in English)
There are four (4) questions that are proposed to the student: THREE questions concern the first part of the course (Intelligence, Thinking, States of Consciousness); ONE question concerns the second part of the course (Hypnosis).
- Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)
Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.
To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
Additional Information for Non-Attending Students

The non-attending student can use the same books of attending students.
In addition, the non-attending student should download from Moodle > Blended Learning additional material to be studied.
