Program
The first part of the course is dedicated to introducing the fundamentals of the philosophy of social science (basic concepts, the relation between epistemology and theory-building, method disputes and epistemological debates). The second part of the course presents the main currents in sociological theory (functionalism, system theories, conflict theories, critical theories, interactionism, phenomenology, ethnometodology, theories of modernity, globalization theories).
