This course is taught partially in Italian and partially in a foreign language. Study materials can be provided in the foreign language and the final exam can be taken in the foreign language.

Learning Objectives

The course aims to show one of the characteristic of the Russian literature, such as the so-called cursing questioning (according to Berdjaev's definition).

Program

The so-called "cursed questioning" will be anaysed in the literary works of Baratynskij, Puškin, Dostoevskij, Tolstoj, Solov'ev, Čechov, Andreev, Solženicyn. The texts will be introduced and discussed in class, as well as the literary criticism of those texts. 

Great emphasis will be given to the making up of the works and the characters, and to their relations with the contemporary civilization.

Assessment

The exam consists of 3 open-ended questions and it lasts 90 minutes.

The test will verify the knowledge fo the course texts (10/30), the ability to critically analyse them (10/30), the ability to argue one's own theses in Italian (10/30).  

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.
