Learning Objectives
Comprehension
• The LIM-LET level B2 course aims to give students the methodology and vocabulary to understand the essential content of concrete and abstract topics in complex texts and discussions.
Production
• Students will be able to express themselves clearly and in detail and take a position on a wide range of issues both in writing and orally. They will develop an argument from a critical point of view, stating causes, consequences and hypothetical situations, justifying their actions and/or introducing concessions.
Program
• During the two semesters, general themes will be discussed (happiness, humour, travel, work, equality, memory, image society, migrations...) through which students will have to decipher information and interpret the documents presented to them. Historical, sociological and geographical data, various literary texts and audio and video documents will be used. They will enable students to build a cultural background and master the subtleties and nuances corresponding to level B2.
• Through the different topics, grammatical and lexical points related to level B2 will be worked on, as well as the methodology of the examination tests through written (essai argumentatif / lettre formelle) and oral (exposé) exercises.
Teaching Material
The teaching material prepared by the language assistant in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the language assistant specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it
