Learning Objectives
In this course we will focus on:
- Reading of advanced English texts
- Oral communication skills
With special focus on:
- Argumentation
- Critical Literacy in English
- Rhetorical skills
- Persuasion
Program
This course will introduce some basic concepts of argumentation, persuasion, logic and critical literacy. With a focus on the text Freakonomics, and a variety of supplemental inputs, this course is focused on preparing students for their reading and oral exams.
