This course is entirely taught in Italian. Study materials can be provided in the foreign language and the final exam can be taken in the foreign language.

Learning Objectives

  • Provide basic notions related to the activity of Fitness in the Water.
  • Provide sufficient knowledge for the organization of some Water Fitness classes.

Bridging Courses

The student who decides to participate in the lessons must have at least the following swimming characteristics:

  • minimal knowledge of the aquatic environment;
  • be able to float even without special life-saving devices.

Teaching Material

The teaching material prepared by the lecturer in addition to recommended textbooks (such as for instance slides, lecture notes, exercises, bibliography) and communications from the lecturer specific to the course can be found inside the Moodle platform › blended.uniurb.it

Teaching, Attendance, Course Books and Assessment

Teaching
  • Frontal lessons at the Mondolce swimming pool.
  • Telematic lessons via the ZOOM platform.
Attendance

- Obligation to be present at at least 65% of lectures, online or practical.

- Creation of a final thesis with the following characteristics:

  • Minimum length 10 pages
  • Font: Arial
  • Text size: 12
  • Titles size: 14
  • Ability to insert images and graphics
  • It is compulsory to insert the Bibliography (i.e. from where the information included in the essay was found).
  • DELIVERY: will be indicated at the beginning of the course.

THE THESIS SHOULD CONTAIN THE FOLLOWING TOPICS:

  • Introduction and state of the art on Fitness in the water.
  • Indicate the benefits of Fitness in the water, describing them accurately.
  • Programming a mesocycle of training (2 training sessions / week for one month).
  • In the 8 training sessions of the mesocycle, enter details on the course of the lesson and the exercises inserted.
  • Conclude with a personal reflection on Fitness in the water.

After completing the thesis, send it, as an attachment (word format), to the following email: riccardo.monzoni@uniurb.it

Disability and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD)

Students who have registered their disability certification or SLD certification with the Inclusion and Right to Study Office can request to use conceptual maps (for keywords) during exams.

To this end, it is necessary to send the maps, two weeks before the exam date, to the course instructor, who will verify their compliance with the university guidelines and may request modifications.

Additional Information for Non-Attending Students
